Mynah Holloway's note

Mynah Holloway's note (Kon's report from 11/21/2012)

Back tomorrow and we're going to see Mynah Holloway.
You got Kon a student loan?
No, never, never.

Watch out the boiler split.
Washed the biting hot sins from the fake tile floor.

I can read that play much better now.
Front and center in the playoff space right into the mix of the Friday night lights.

Kon says he's a hero now in his short trousers stained with earth.

You know he'd wear anything for the sake of fashion.
And somehow he always looks good doing it.
When nobody else could pull that shit off.

That cold water creek is rising up again.
Freezing the warts off the pained expressions that we all try to hide.

So still for a singular moment and then...
...the hard press push right in your face like a full force gale slapping you hard.
Harder than grandma's belt across the back side.

Yeah you can feel that alright laying on your ass looking up into the cold night air.
What the hell are you thinking?
Get your ass up off the deck!
Twenty-seven to fourteen is a long slide down a dirty hill.
But we're still in this thing!
Thirteen minutes of star-bound glory just waiting to unfurl for five hundred peering eyes.

Foolishly fixed they fasten their feelings on a seventeen year old future.
Ain't no cash in the kitty this time.
It's all on you.
Just remember your backyard days and the superhuman scenarios you created.
Just like that only better, only real, yeah it's you and you know.
With every little glance and movement and they know it too.

Forget the Greek theater.
Forget the pounding rhythm of five hundred feet echoing across the pined topped night.
Forget the fractured forecasts from armchair champions long since derailed.
Attach it to hope and skill; attach it all to skill and hope.
'Cause the train will pass through.
Grind the steel and true the track.

It's hero time now and there is no turning back.
